can't install ON1 on iMac

I have just bought ON1 Photo Raw 2022 and downloaded it. When I click on the file in the downloads folder it gives me a window saying "verifying 'ON1_Photo_RAW_2022-2.dmg' " and the progress bar seems to be stopped 2/3rds of the way along (for at least 45 mins).

Any suggestions?

I have a late 2013 iMac with a 1TB SSD and 8G of RAM and a freshly installed MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

  The -2 in the download file name suggests that you've downloaded the installer more than once. I would start by trashing all files named ON1_Photo_RAW_2022 from your Downloads folder, emptying the Trash, and downloading it once more. Once the download has finished disable any anti-virus software you may be running then run the installer again.

  How much free space is left on your 1TB SSD?
