    It’s a false positive.

What are you using to justify this statement?

There is a library that the program uses that is known to cause a false positive report from some virus scanners.

This has happened in the past. Here is a link to a list of past reports of this happening. As long as you got the installer from ON1's servers you can rest assured that everything is OK.

I also had the problem with two files:

    C:\Program Files\ON1\ON1 Photo RAW 2022\ON1Sandbox.exe

    C:\Program Files\ON1\ON1 Photo RAW 2022\libadobe.dll

I am running Bitdefender which picked up the issue. I wanted to check here before deciding what to do. I ran a full system scan overnight and Bitdefender deleted the two files listed above. When I actually installed the product last evening, it "quarantined" another file (ONCoreFoundation16.dll).

Will running ON1 without these files cause problems? Instructions from ON1 staff would be good.

    Thanks.

Most likely it won't even run without them, in particular the ON1Sandbox.exe program.

If you want to hear from the company you need to contact the company. These forums for for user to user help and communications; the company rarely responds directly here.

I'm sure if the installer was actually virus infected we'd be hearing from far more people, especially in the Facebook groups. No one has posted about it there. Yet. :)

    @David
exactly the three files that G-Data has quarantined!

without these files ON1 will not run ... I tried it.

All 68 antivirus engines from VirusTotal say: no virus found.

There are often such problems with GData.

    additional info:

if i disable the "behavior-based protection" of G-Data, no virus is detected.

Ok, i agree there is no real threat/virus - thx.
