Increase canvas size

Increasing the Canvas Size is easy, just select it from the menu...

However, doing that means that you'll have to stretch out your image and it won't have any more pixels than it does now.

You might want to use Resize instead to get a larger image with more pixels to work with.

When I select Canvas Size the size is not editable for me.

What program are you using and is it stand alone or plugin?

I'm using ON1 Photo RAW 2022.5, MacOS 10.14.6. Okay, I see that my operating system is too old for this version however on Apple Silicon M1, MacOS 12.4 the Canvas Size is greyed out.

Are you in the Bowser or the Editor? What happens if you try from the other module?

In Browse there is no File/Canvas Size menu item. I have been using the Edit module.

You’re right of course. I’m not at my computer just now and I had forgotten that. Sorry.

I've tried to find a condition that greys out the Canvas size option and I can't. It always works for me. Since this appears to be some weird condition, I'd suggest you Delete the settings file as instructed below then try the canvas again.

I can get it to gray out by selecting a modal tool like Crop or AI Quick Mask — something that requires you to press the Done button to leave the modal state.

I tried that. Even while cropping the Canvas size menu option is still active. Of course I'm using 2022.0. Maybe it changed by .5.

If I go to Quick Mask, all of the menus are disabled, so I can't even get to the Canvas option.

Your "Delete Settings" worked for me. Thanks!

It seems to me that for any weird kind of problem Delete Settings should be the first step.

    Glad it's working.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
