Keywords are broken

Do you use Catalogs? If so, what happens when you select the top folder and use the Show Subfolder Contents option then do a Select All? You should see something like this:

Yes, I have one catalog. If I do the steps you describe, here's the result.
Lots of keywords don't show content but they should, some are listed both as a "sub-keyword" and a keyword (such as Panama seen alone and in "Voyages/Amérique/Panama").
But I did not realized you have to have pictures selected to see a count of keywords.

You don't normally need to select all, just clicking the top folder and enabling subfolders should update all of the keyword counts.

Usually when i find a keyword that's not working properly, it's because of a spelling error either in the list or with the photo. Most often an extra space on one end.

Can you find one of the photos that's NOT found by it's keyword and compare it to the list?

    I don't understand your question.

You can see that some keywords now appear both alone and as sub-keywords? And they don't have the same count?

There is a bug in the program I thought had been eliminated after working directly with the engineers on the problem. I see the same thing in my Keywords list. Hierarchical keywords can get broken down into their individual keywords which are then added to the Keyword List. When that happens the program sometimes fails to find the photos they came from. I have cleaned my Keyword List to eliminate these 'ghost' keywords around a dozen times and I just noticed today that there are a bunch of new entries I did not create.

I wrote an article a couple of years ago before the fixes were put into place which may help you clean up your list. Fixing Keyword Issues.

Ok, I hope I can sort this out, thanks.

Maybe it's time to look for another program (again)...

Or, report the problem to tech support so this program can be fixed properly and everyone benefits. 😁
