Sky tab not working
I have a (shiny, new) M2 MacBook Air, 16gb RAM. ON1 Raw is the latest version.
The Sky tab simply doesn't work. It comes up with a box saying "Swapping sky", which progresses about 1/3rd of the way. Then that disappears, and the Sky tab is just blank. (Ironically, I don't want to replace the sky - I just want a lazy mask. And I've tried on several photos with exactly the same result, so it's not the photo.)
It's always worked fine on my Windows desktop.
Has anyone got any words of wisdom to help?

Nothing we can do about a process that doesn't complete. I'd suggest you report it to On1 support. It would be good if you could make a video showing what happens in case they can't reproduce it.
Also send the info requested here so they can see if it's hardware causing the problem...

If you just want a sky mask and do not want to replace the sky there is a command under the mask menu To do that.

Thanks for the input! I submitted a support request, as suggested, and got a very quick response from ON1:
"We have discovered a bug with M2 hardware and SkySwap not loading and have an open bug ticket for this issue and are working to address this."
I'm fine with that. I've long since learned that those times you get to be at the cutting edge of technology, you stand a good chance of bleeding. ;) I think they'll be all over this, so happy to wait. Mostly I do my 'serious' editing (like sky correction) on my Windows desktop anyway - I just stumbled across this when experimenting with setting my laptop up to make sure it worked with external monitor, keyboard etc.

I too have a 'shiny new MacBook Pro with 16 Gb of memory', displaying the identical symptoms to that of Caroline - but in my case applied to Photo Raw 2022.5. As with Caroline I also have a Windows computer on which it works fine.
Is it necessary to go through the reporting process, or will this be seriously noted by the developers..? In my case I need the AI Sky Mask facility and its allied Sky Swap quite badly, as I am a BIF (birds in flight) photographer.
I really would appreciate help on this one, and if it is hopeless please let us know.

Further to the above, I note that a year has passed since Caroline's post. Is there any further progress on this one?

Who knows? The company hasn't said anything specifically about it and I don't have an M2 to test with, sorry.
I would expect 2022 to have problems on an M2 if they found a bug in 2023 that affects them. Download the trial 2023 and test it for yourself.
