How do I delete a layer mask?

    Just click on the icon to open the masking options again. Once you've enabled that mask the first time, it will stay there even if the mask is reset and only a white rectangle.

    This is described on page 177 of the user guide.

    It just seems strange you can't delete the mask once you've created it even after you've clicked reset all.

    As you've confirmed once you've enabled the mask it will stay there forever.I'm not sure there is any real downside to this, just not what I expected.

    The mask is actually deleted. That's what the white rectangle means... all white = no mask. It was white before you enabled it too, it's just that you can see it now.
