Search most used lens
Is there a way to search by the most used lens, as you can do in Lightroom? I've tried searching through existing help and posts but get led down rabbit holes.
Using 2022.5
Thanks,

You can search for lenses, but there is no way to compare one against the other.

Yeah, I found that but was hoping for a list of the lenses used that can be selected or sorted by, then determine which lens I use most (as an example).
This is unfortunate, but I play around with this and see if I can make something work.
Thanks

I'm looking for this same functionality to help me fine tune my lens collection. I seems like the data is in there, maybe on a file by file basis instead of in some kind of summary database. Having access to some kind of API would be nice because it shouldn't be too hard to add the capability although going through all the images on a file by file basis might take a while.

How many lenses are we talking about? Can't you just search for each one and make a note of how many photos are found?
This seems like a one-time thing to me and with a little effort I'm sure you can find your answers.

Searching for individual lenses (I suppose I have a dozen accumulated through the years) would kind of accomplish my goal, but what I really want is a list of the focal length that the various zoom lenses were set to for images. For instance, I suspect that my tendency is to use my zooms mostly at both ends of their range, but not much in the middle. Right now I'm considering if I should buy an ultrawide zoom and if my current travel zoom is mainly used at its widest setting that would help convince me. Similarly, I only carried my longer range zoom on my last trip, and perhaps I would be better served by two zooms (maybe better optically) centered at both extremes?
I think I could do this easily with my antique version of Lightroom, but don't really want to install that again (or even know if it would still run). I see there is a command line tool EXIFtool available that might do what I want, but it's been a long time since I messed with something like that.

Instead of searching for individual lenses, set up searches for various zoom ranges. You can save them as Smart Albums to make it easier to compare results. You'll still have to browse each individual image to see its settings.
I'm just making up numbers here to show how to set up the Search parameters for this type of search.
