Stopping preview generation?
PR 2022.5
I have about 45000 photos, all minimally cataloged (the space taken should be 200 MB, as I read in the article).
I'm using a macbook pro, 1TB disk half full and 16 GB memory.
Scratch & PBC are on a separate SSD. PBC occupies 17 GB (shouldn't it be 200 MB?)
At some point during browsing, working with albums, keywording, etc, preview in browse mode stops and all thumbnails are shown in black. After closing the program, a message states that it is stopping preview generation, disconnecting from cloud and closing database.
is there anything I can do to avoid this? What is it wrong with my system?
Thank you

Which MacBook Pro are you running?
Have you tried the Delete Settings and/or Reset ON1 Photo RAW options?

You'll have to talk with tech support about this Gianni. I don't have an answer for you, sorry. I've never seen the Browser stop working as you've described. The message that the program is stopping preview generation and disconnecting is normal.
Did you do both the Delete Settings and Reset options? If you haven't tried the Reset yet do that before contacting tech support and be sure to tell them you've done both steps or they will ask you to do them before continuing to look at the problem.
