Isn't it the case that, if one only has a subscription, access to Photo Raw ceases when the subscription is cancelled (just like Lightroom). But if, like Alex, one also has a copy that is owned outright, access to that version will continue. In his case he would continue to be able to use v2022.5, although any edits using tools from subsequent versions (such as TackSharp AI) would likely be lost.

That is correct.

I would verify with support whether files created with a newer version of the product would still be editable with an older version if you are depending on this as part of your plan. It's possible that new versions of the an ON1 might not be able to read newer files, rather than just ignoring edits that it doesn't understand.
As an example, newer versions of Word docs can't be opened with older versions with Word.
Of course, buying a standalone version of that version or a newer one would guarantee that they will still be editable.

Images edited with newer software, will not be editable with older software. What is 2022 going to do with an AI generated mask? Not to mention the changes made to the database to support the new features.

That's what I suspected. In Ray's post , he stated "In his case he would continue to be able to use v2022.5, although any edits using tools from subsequent versions (such as TackSharp AI) would likely be lost."
Your reply to that was "That is correct".
I believe that have just confirmed that Ray's statement is not correct.
I wanted to make sure that Alex had proper information.
