I just really feel let down.  AI features might be nice, but if I can't use the program to do basic edits on a folder of 150 pics, something is wrong.

You mentioned deleting settings but have you tried the Reset ON1 Photo RAW command? That is the next step. Let the system rebuild your databases and Catalogs from scratch.

How did you connect the SSD with the Scratch space and I'm assuming the PerfectBrowseCache to your MacBook? I use a Thunderbolt 3 connection directly to my M1 Mini. The USB SSD with my photos on it is connected through a hub. How full is that drive? And your boot drive?

Thanks, Brian.  I am getting ~1700MB/s writes and ~2800MB/s reads on my photo drive and scratch space drive. I think the issue is that I did a portrait AI on one photo and then synced that to the 150 pics in this folder, and the program is choking on trying to do that many Portrait AI syncs.  I will try the Reset option now.

All drives have 75 GB or more available.  Just did the reset.  Still dragging.  I cloned my folder and removed all side car files to see if I could just get direct access to my raw images and not have the program trying to apply sync edits, but that folder is very slow to access, too.

The program may still be trying to Sync all those Portrait AI images and that will take a while as well as hit your drives hard. I don't think removing the .on1 sidecar files will stop that. The Reset should have cleared that up though as it returns the program to the same state as when you first installed it.

You may have to talk with tech support about this unless one of the Windows guys has some ideas.
