You're not explaining how you're doing that, so can't tell if you're missing anything or not.

In the masking options is where you'd copy and paste masks. If that doesn't help, post more detail on what you're doing.

I have two photos, with separate people in each. I am trying to make an image with both people in one image so I was trying to use super select to select one of the persons and copy and paste it into the other image so I have two people in it. I can do this easily in Photoshop by using its content aware feature and then selecting and copy and pasting. Trying to figure out how to do it in 2023 :)

I think what you're talking about is called an adaptive preset in Photo Raw. I haven't had time to try it yet, I'd suggest you dig out the user guide until we get more experience.

Photo RAW does not allow for copying/pasting pieces of the image from one photo to another. You'll have to load both images on separate Layers then you can use the any of the masking tools to isolate the one person you want added to the other photo. Put the image with the person to be added on the top Layer and mask out everything else. You can select the person then Invert the mask.

Would love to see a full tutorial on this!  Seems a fairly popular thing to do....I am looking at a Scott Davenport tutorial on this, He talks about holding the mouse down on the ADD ADJUSTMEnt button and getting a mask AI to come up which it seems you can copy...

Search the video library. Scott Davenport has done tutorial videos on this. They won't be using the new masking tools of course but that is a minor point. The techinques are the same.
