I have a similar situation – when I have a photo open in Browse Panel and then I want to open it in Edit Module the ON1 2023 crashes immediately. I reinstalled the program but it still has the same result!

I uploaded the ON1 2023 to my laptop which has a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 6 GB GDDR6     ( not Super series ) and the program does not start at all!  Reinstalling didn't change anything…

Hi there, same here. I saw all my pics in browse mode. When opening to edit it the program crashes immediately. (System: Win11, 32GB, CPU: Intel12900, Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080TI). I am very disappointed. PhotoRaw2022 works well in the same configuration.

    Reinstallation doesnt fix the problem

I don't even have to edit. All I do is start PR and it crashes whilst updating the previews. When I reopen PR, it says a NEF file is corrupt then crashes again. I have had same issue since 2022.1. Sad given I've reported this numerous times and so have others that I'm still unable to use PR.

Same here, when I try to edit a RAW file from my GH5 using 18-35 lens it crashes. All other files work fine though. W10 32Gb RAM, NVIDIA 3070

I will add to the list of people with the same experience.  I had photo raw 2022 installed.  Downloaded PR 2023 and installed.  It did not overwrite 2022 installation.  On first launch it did all its migration/cache stuff.  I double clicked a photo from library to edit.  I got a dialog about whether or not double-click should be zoom or edit.  Chose Edit.  Before edit was possible PR crashed/close.  After reboot, opened PR2023 first.  This time clicked on edit.  The edit tools showed up, but before any edit could happen PR2023 crashes/closes.  This is on a Windows11 (latest updates installed), Nvidia 3060 (latest studio drivers installed), Intel Core i9-10850K, 32B RAM, and Canon RAW (CR2) files from Canon T6s camera.

I was able to edit when opening PR2023 from Lightroom where lightroom creates intermediate TIFF before opening.

As others have stated it appears to be related to RAW files.

I filled out crash reports both times crash happened.  Since installing PR2023 I have not been able to edit a single RAW file.

I tried to use ON1 four times and it crashed each time I tried to edit a photo it crashed. Very disappointed! I’ll go back to the 2022 version and write off the price of the upgrade.

I tried going back to version 2022 and that it no longer connects to Cloud Sync. I get the message the version is too old

I think I may have found a solution. I deleted the AI presets and it seems to work

I am having the same problem. ON1 2023 crashes as soon as I try to open it. I have windows 11. I really want to use this software. I am going to try and install it on my iMac 24 and see how it works. Any solutions for Windows 11, Dell XPS 17 9700? Thank you in advance.

Deleting the presets was only temporary. Everytime when I shut down the program and then open it again the new presets some how reinstalled. Go figure

Exact same issue.  Cannot edit raw.  Several crash reports have been submitted.

Graphics card exceeds specs. GeForce RTX™ 2060 VENTUS 6G OC; DirectX 12 API; OpenGL 4.5.

    Have to use RAW 2022.5.

Frederick, you haven't answered rblanc13's question about how you went about deleting the presets. I suspect you may not have actually deleted them. Deleted files don't just reinstall themselves.

Just adding my voice. The program crashes when I open it, or when I try to use an AI preset, or when I try to edit a TIF... etc. My system meets all requirements. Very disappointing. I'm glad I did not uninstall version 2022.

I didnt uninstall version 2022 but after version 2023 was released Cloud Sync is no longer working in 2022. Whats up with that? It is also not available on a computer where 2023 in not installed

You'll have to ask tech support about Cloud Sync not working in 2022 Frederick.

Yes I know. I already submited a ticket. Tech support is slow in responding and I was just search here to see if anyone else had this issue. Thanks

Lots of people are having issues when trying to edit RAW files of any format in 2023. I suspect we will see a new release soon as many of us have submitted tickets to support. Meanwhile, it is back to 2022.5 to do my editing. Obviously not enough testing by ON1 on the new release.

Robert do you find that Cloud Sync is no longer supported in 2022.5?

I don't use the Cloud so I don't know. I note some people are having problems syncing though. Sorry I can't help.

Hi fellows, heard that the bug relates to the NVIDIA Card Driver for newer cards. Just got an update for the NVIDIA (version 522.25) Unfortunately it doesnt fix the bug :-(  Very disappointing

According to the information from ON1 Support I have followed all the steps they suggested including updating the graphics card driver and then reinstaling the ON1 2023 in my desktop - unfortunately no changes! As before; a photo open in Browse Panel and then trying to open it in Edit Module the ON1 2023 crashes immediately. I use NVIDIA GeForce Super model and they suggest there is a problem with this series of GPU, but I have a laptop also with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU ( not Super series ) which doesn't even start ON1 2023!  As requested, I sent them crash reports and my ON1 Photo RAW Log - we'll see what's next and for now we're as the customers the free Tester Team of ON1 2023 :)

    Great answers

Several people on the Plus forum have reported that down grading driver to 512.15 Game Ready has solved the problem for them without changes to PhotoRAW or Windows. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/187304/  seems to be link. As a Mac user I can’t test this.

If this the fix then clear that issue stems from a bug that NVIDA has introduced in recent driver upgrades not issue with 2023 itself.

I uploaded driver to 512.15 Game Ready to my laptop with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU and unchanged -  ON1 2023 still does not start! Very disappointing...

I updated to Nvidia Studio Drivers version 522.30 today and I was able to open RAW file without On1 Photo Raw 2023 crashing.  I did not do any updates, or any more extensive testing, but was able to open a RAW file for edits which is something that was not possible before today's Nvidia driver update.
