Customising the Sky Swap panel
I rarely use the built-in skies, and have a big collection of my own, arranged into folders. At present I have to scroll down to find them. It would be good to have the option to replace the 5 at the top with one's own. Also for it to remember the last sky chosen each time Sky Swap is opened, rather than defaulting to one of On1's choosing.
I have added this to the Photo Raw Project request page. if you agree, please comment or vote. Thanks

If you use the MORE button instead, your own presets appear to sort to the top. Not perfect but it might help.

Rick, I suspect that's not the case. It sorted to the top because your "test" started with a lower case 't'. The order is alphabetical. Hopefully using something like an * will force the issue!

Sadly, Rick, that is not working only Mac. I imported a file starting with an * and then another
with my name in lower case, but neither show up when I click on the More button.

I tried. Sorry.

I for the life of me cannot get imported skies to show in the sky swap panel. I have tried importing them from the import button in the sky swap panel and I have tried importing the to the Skies tab in the Extras manager. The skiey files show up in the extras manager but are not visible in the Sky Swap Panel and yes I am scrolling all the way to the bottom of the skies list. Is any one else seeing this? I have to say I haven't been this frustrated with PR in a long long time.
Edited to add I figured it out:
If I click on the More drop down my Skies are not in that list - I have to click on the "Categories" drop down to see them. Maybe it's always been that way and I have just forgotten because I don't do a lot of sky swaps.

The MORE list is only for presets, not imports. You COULD make a bunch of presets, but I don't think that's a good solution.

Ahh thanks Rick, I understand now. That's why Ray and I didn't see anything in the "More" dropdown list. Your example ending with the * was a preset and not just and imported file or folder of files. Any files we import will always be at the bottom of the category list under the --My Skies-- header.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before! You don't need ALL of your skies at the top, you just need the folder there.
Select your skies folder from the import list and make a preset for it in the MORE category. If your preset name doesn't sort to the top, add a prefix that does (maybe a tilde or dash). Once that's done all you need to do is select the preset and all of your skies will be in the drop down.
If you have more than one folder it becomes more problematic. You may have to make more presets.

Rick, that might be a work-round. I'd still like to see a proper customisable option in a future update, since I have about half dozen folders.
I see that on my Mac the built-in skies reside in the Library. I am not one to mess around with stuff at that level, but others might feel more confident!

A quick update to say that Rick's solution really does work. And it's possible to add several folders and name them how one wants. They default to the top of the More pulldown in alphabetical order. Note that they are not technically presets: you choose Save New Style... to add them.

That should speed things up. Glad you got it sorted.

Is it possible to "flip" a sky the same as you can do in PS?
So flip it either on the vertical or the horizontal edge (vertical preferably)

Click on the double headed arrow an RHS of Position line to flip left to right, don't think there is an option to flip up and down.

"don't think there is an option to flip up and down" Why would you want to? Upside clouds would look very strange. 😁

Brian one reason a user might want to flip a sky upside down would be for reflections. That said, if that is what Allyn is thinking about - in the Skyswap panel just scroll down and turn on reflections then adjust to desired effect.

Thanks David Tillett , I did see that and attempt it but it just presented me with a new sky so I left it alone.......I shall revisit..........much appreciated.
After a second attempt that was indeed successful, I am now fully versed on sky swaps (even reflections 😀)
Thanks for your input everyone
