There aren't any controls for the size of the individual panels in the right hand column. All we can do is toggle their visibility by clicking on the name of the active panel and make the entire column larger or smaller.

not sure if you're trying to make it narrower or shorter.

If narrower, Just grab the edge and move it over.

To get a bit more room vertically, you can turn off the Navigator or Layers and enable Solo Mode to save space.

I am trying to make it shorter.

Rick thanks for that, that was really helpful. Now I can at least turn it off to give myself more room to use the develop panel.

Before that, the develop panel was only a small crack in the window and it was super annoying to try to edit when I could only really see 2 controls(such as whites and highlights) at a time without having to scroll to the others.

Unless you are actively applying a Preset I recommend keeping that panel collapsed. Not only do you recover that screen real estate you'll also get better editing performance. When the panel is open every edit you make has to be rendered for each preset visible.

I do use the histogram when I am adjusting the tones. But esp with the shortcut I think it will be easy enough to hide it and just show it when needed. Esp if it showing it also bogs things down

I meant the left hand, Presets column. Sorry that wasn't clear.

Ok gotcha. I usually have that hidden or on the browse tab unless I am browsing presets.

If the layer pane is to long, go into the info pane next to it and check if the "Settings Applied" drop down (which shows you what settings and tools have been applied) is open.  If it is, press the little arrow to the left of it to collapse it.  This will reduce the size of the panes for navigation, layers, history, and snapshot to a much more manageable level.

Not sure, but is this what you mean? If applied settings are open, the histogram looks larger

For me, if the “Settings Applied” is open, below is what I see.  The levels pane is elongated and the “Nav” pane has black space above and below the picture.

Compare this with the “Settings Applied” collapsed.  The levels pane is smaller and there is no black spaces above or below the Nav pane picture.

I had problems replicating the size change.  It appears to have something to do with closing On1 with the “Applied Setting” expanded.  If the “Settings applied” is collapsed when you shut down On1, they all work fine when you open On1 after that and do not change size when expanding the “Applied Settings”.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I have been just turning off the panels unless I specifically need them now.   That seems to work.
