Noise and sharpening tab disappearing
Twice now I have opened On1 2023 and the noise and sharpening tab in develop have gone.
I reinstalled the program yesterday and it came back, but it's just happened again.
Anyone else experience this or know how to get the tab back without a reinstall?

I see the same! It seems to happen randomly. I did not re-install 2023. I feel this all has to do with the NVIDIA Driver problems.

Yeah, I just reloaded and the Tab is back. Yesterday I reloaded several times and it was still gone. Hopefully we get an update soon to address some of these issues, I've grown to really like the program, I would hate to have to move to DXO, don't like the lack of full screen noise reduction.

I've had this happen a couple of times since I installed 2023 a couple of days ago as well. Just restarted ON1 and it comes back!

And here I thought I was imagining things. My noise/sharpening tab disappeared several times yesterday. Wondering if the common denominator is an Nvidia card, of which I have the RTX 2060 Super with rolled-back driver.

Twice now I have opened On1 2023 and the noise and sharpening tab in develop have gone.
My experience is that this happens, when you interfere with the user interface. E.g. if you click on the UI while the app is loading photos (photos in the grid are still blurred), the Tack Sharp/NoNoise module will not get loaded.
If I wait long enough until everything is "settled", the module will be available.0 -
I've had this happen a couple times and all I've done is restart the program. And I don't think it has to do with Nvidia card problem because I am using built in Intel video.

I can confirm this has nothing to do with the Nvidia drivers. I had it happen on my M1 mini last night.

My NVIDIA is OK, however disappearance of Noise and sharpening occurs, randomly

That is a known issue, which hopefully will be fixed in the upcoming update.

For the record, same happened to me; 2018 Intel Macbook Pro, Radeon graphics card, On1 version 17.0.1.12965. After four attempts of exiting and re-loading the program, the tab returned.

Yep - just happened to me as well. (Ver 2023 17.0.1.12965)
NVidia Geoforce RTX 2060 card
Very annoying - Had to re-install to get it back

Any idea when this will be fixed?

Happened many times to me also.

The company hasn't said anything about when it might get fixed. They are having trouble duplicating the problem reliably which makes it hard to track down.

Same problem for me on M1 Mac Mini. I had a problem with the original 2023; rebooting the computer was the only workaround I found. I just downloaded the update, hoping it would be fixed, but now I have no noise panel at all in Develop and nothing will get it back. Logged ticket with support

And then 10 minutes later it came right all by itself! Not going to tempt fate - just going to leave the app open all the time.

I observed this and reported it to support some time ago:
I restarted ON1 PR after closing it while in Edit and detail view. Back in Edit, I recognized that Noise & Sharpening was not available. So I went back to Browse and Grid View, closed ON1 PR and started again. After back in Edit, I recognized that Noise & Sharpening was available.
I repeated this test (closing from Edit and closing from Browse) several times and could reproduce the error. Always when I started ON1 PR after closing from Edit and detail view Noise & Sharpening was not available. And it was available after closing from Browse.
ON1 support was not able to reproduce my observations with the earlier version. The effect is still around in the latest build and I still can reproduce it. The assumption is that it has something to do with timing to start single processes.
Maybe this helps, and you can reproduce this effect too. If yes, you know how to prevent this from happening until this problem is solved by ON1 engineers.

Thanks, Volker - I appreciate the guidance 😀

This has been happening to me quite consistently. Just found this suggestion of closing from the Browse tab - it worked this time so I'll persist and see if it continues to work. Thanks

Hi MIchael. Volker's suggestion continues to work for me. I spent time with On1 support providing information, screenshots, and process steps but they claim to be unable to replicate the bug. I pointed them to this thread as evidence that it's not just me, but after a month - nothing. In the meantime, Volker's workaround is still a workaround 🥲

I started the above thread because I didn't find this thread. My experience is that I lost Noise & Sharpening after Windows 10 updates: I don't know if that is coincidental or causal.

its NOT windows related.....I work on a Mac and have the same issue.
