ON1 Photo RAW Trial - Frequently Asked Questions

ON1 Photo RAW will operate as a fully featured trial version for 30 days from when you first launch it. This gives you time to evaluate the product and see if it fits your needs. 

To begin the free trial, select "Start 30 Day Trial". You will then be required to enter your email address to start the trial.

Each time you launch Photo RAW during the trial period, the Buy Now button will tell you how many days remain in the trial. You can purchase ON1 Photo RAW at any time by clicking on the Buy Now button. Once you do that, click the Sign-In button the next time you launch the product and enter your ON1 account information. If your trial period has ended, Photo RAW will present you with an activation window when you launch the app. There, you can enter your ON1 account info to activate the app.

Q: How long does the free trial last?

A: You can use ON1 Photo RAW as a fully functioning trial for 30 days.

Q: How do I start using the free trial?

A: Simply install, launch and begin editing.

Q: How can I tell when my trial will expire?

A: The "Buy Now" button on the top right will display the number of days you have remaining in the trial.

Q: Do I need to install the purchased version of ON1 Photo RAW after using the trial?

A: No, you can simply sign in to the copy already installed on your machine after purchasing. The only difference between the purchased version and the trial version is the sign-in method.

Q: Will installing the ON1 Photo RAW 2025 trial override any of my previously installed ON1 applications (such as ON1 Photo RAW 2024)?

A: No, each version installs side-by-side with any previously installed ON1 programs.

Q: Will the trial version leave an ON1 watermark on my photos?

A: No, the trial versions of our software applications do not leave any watermarks on your photos.

Q: Is there any difference between the paid version and the trial version of your apps?

A: The only difference between the purchased version and the trial version is the sign-in method.

Q: Will I be billed/charged when my trial expires?

A: For most products, you will not be charged at the end of your trial. No credit card is required to download a 30-day trial of our desktop apps. If you would like to continue using the program after your free trial expires, you will need to purchase.

However, if you have signed up for a trial of a subscription, you will be required to input your payment details before your subscription trial begins and you will be charged at the end of the trial subscription period. In the cart, and during the checkout process, you will see when your trial ends and when you will be charged. 

Q: I'm loving my trial, how can I purchase?

A: You can purchase ON1 Photo RAW at any time from the sign-in window by clicking on the Purchase button. You can also purchase from the ON1 store. 

Q: Can I pause my trial?

A: Unfortunately once the trial period has started, it cannot be paused.

Q: How do I end the trial?

A: To end your trial, simply uninstall the software from your machine. If you have signed up for a subscription trial, you can manage or cancel your subscription here: https://www.on1.com/account/orders/  

Q: I can't sign in to the trial/my password is not working for the trial.

A: You will not be able to sign into the program using the Owner's Sign-In method unless you have purchased the program. Make sure you select the trial option instead of the sign-in option.
