Using ON1 2022 Products with Corel PaintShop Pro

ON1 Effects 2022, ON1 NoNoise AI 2022, and ON1 Portrait AI 2022 integrate tightly with Corel PaintShop Pro for enhancing your images.

Note: ON1 Photo RAW 2022 does not support Corel PaintShop Pro as a plugin. Functionality has changed from previous versions. Starting with version 2022, plugin support is only available when using ON1 Effects 2022, ON1 NoNoise AI 2022, or ON1 Portrait AI 2022. These apps are also bundled together in the Professional Plugin Bundle 2022.

Effects, NoNoise AI, and Portrait AI can be used as plugins to Corel PaintShop Pro. When you run the product installer, the plugin files for Corel PaintShop Pro will be installed automatically.

Using Effects with Corel PaintShop Pro

When you edit an image sent from Corel PaintShop Pro (Windows-only) to ON1 Effects, you are editing PaintShop Pro’s currently selected layer. To use Effects inside PaintShop Pro, follow these steps:

1. Open the image you want to work on in PaintShop Pro.
2. Select the layer you want to work on.
3. From the Effects menu, select PlugIns > ON1 > ON1 Effects 2022.
4. When you’re finished editing your photo, click the Done button in Effects.

PaintShop Pro does not support nondestructive editing with Effects; if you would like to work on a copy, before you send the photo to Effects, right-click on the layer in PaintShop Pro and choose Duplicate.

Using NoNoise AI with Corel PaintShop Pro

When you send an image sent from Corel PaintShop Pro (Windows-only) to ON1 NoNoise AI, you are editing PaintShop Pro’s currently selected layer. To use NoNoise inside PaintShop Pro, follow these steps:

1. Open the image you want to work on in PaintShop Pro.
2. Select the layer you want to work on.
3. From the Effects menu, select PlugIns > ON1 > ON1 NoNoise AI 2022.
4. When you’re finished editing your photo, click the Done button in NoNoise.

PaintShop Pro does not support nondestructive editing with NoNoise AI; if you would like to work on a copy, before you send the photo to NoNoise, right-click on the PaintShop layer and choose Duplicate.

NOTE: For optimal results when working with raw images in conjunction with PaintShop Pro, you should process the raw files in the standalone version of NoNoise AI, export them as DNGs, and then open them in PaintShop Pro. See ON1 NoNoise AI — How To Launch the App and Plugins for more information.

Using Portrait AI with Corel PaintShop Pro

When you edit an image sent from Corel PaintShop Pro (Windows-only) to ON1 Portrait AI, you are editing PaintShop Pro’s currently selected layer. To use Portrait inside PaintShop Pro, follow these steps:

1. Open the image you want to work on in PaintShop Pro.
2. Select the layer you want to work on.
3. From the Portrait AI menu, select PlugIns > ON1 > ON1 Portrait AI 2022.
4. When you’re finished editing your photo, click the Done button in Portrait.

PaintShop Pro does not support nondestructive editing with Portrait AI; if you would like to work on a copy, before you send the photo to Portrait, right-click on the layer in PaintShop Pro and choose Duplicate.
