Using the new Reduce Dust and Reduce Power Lines options found in the new Generative Ai Eraser have limitations and won't always remove all visible dust or power lines.
Limitations of "Reduce Dust" and "Reduce Power Lines"
Both features are labeled as "Reduction," not "Removal." While they can minimize certain issues, they do not eliminate all instances.
Reduce Dust:
This option is specifically designed to reduce dust on camera sensors that are common in digital photography. It does not address dust generated from film or print scans, nor does it remove airborne dust particles present in the image.
Clicking the Reduce Dust button will automatically scan the current photo for sensor dust spots, removing obvious ones from the photo. By default, the Reduce Dust operation does not act aggressively, it may not remove some items that are questionably dust or a natural phenomenon. This means you might still find some dust spots in your photo.
Reduce Power Lines:
This feature targets thin power lines but does not remove power poles. It may yield false positives and inadvertently remove similar objects. For best results, consider using this feature on a duplicated layer so you can easily mask back any affected areas if needed.
To revert changes made by either feature, you can either step back in your editing history or reset the retouching adjustments.
*Please note that this process may take around 30 seconds on older GPUs.
