How to install LUTs through the ON1 Extras Manager
The following LUT file types are supported:
.cube
.3DL
To install your own .cube or .3DL files, while in the Browse module go to "File > Manage Extras" to bring up the ON1 Extras Manager:
This will bring up the ON1 Extras Manager since we are installing LUTs, please click on the LUTs Tab shown in the screenshot below:
Next, click on the "Import" button in the lower-left corner of the ON1 Extras Manager:
This will bring up a Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (PC) window. Simply navigate to your .cube or .3DL files, select all of the files and click "Open":
Next, a dialog box will appear prompting you to choose an existing Category to import to or create a new category. In the example below, we have created a new "My Test LUTs" Category. Once you have chosen the Category you want to import to, click "Close".
This completes the installation process. After you have completed this process, you will be able to access these LUTs within the Effects module (continued below).
How to access LUTs you have installed through the ON1 Extras Manager:
Once you have successfully installed LUTs through the ON1 Extras Manager, you will be able to access these LUTs from within the Effects module. However, it is important to understand the difference between an ON1 Preset and LUTs installed through the ON1 Extras Manager. You will only be able to access LUTs installed through the ON1 Extras Manager within the LUT filter options on the right side of the Effects module. (more on this below)
To access your LUTs installed through the ON1 Extras Manager, simply open an image in the Effects module, click the "Add Filter" button on the right and then choose the "LUT" filter:
This will add the LUT filter to your filter stack on the right. Once the LUT Filter has been added to your filter stack, you will be able to choose the recently created "My Test LUTs" category within the drop-down menu on the right:
After you have chosen the Category you want, you will be able to choose the LUT you want to apply within the "LUT" drop-down menu within the Filter options pane on the right:
