Sign in Errors
To activate ON1 Apps, you will need to sign in with the same email address you used to purchase.

*Errors below are for ON1 Photo Raw 2024.5 and newer. If you have a version prior to 2024.5 the number of the code may differ.
IMPORTANT:
Your password is the same password that you use to login to your ON1 account on the ON1 website. There is no license code to sign into our products. Your ON1 account email address and password are all you will need to activate your product.
Please make sure you do not have any typos in your email address or password field while attempting to sign in or request a password reset. If your internet browser is auto-filling your email address into the field, please make sure it is the correct email and is spelled correctly. Some internet browsers will remember previously used email addresses (even if they include a typo).
ON1 Activation and Sign in Errors:
(-3) License has expired
This error indicates you need to sign into the product again - such as after signing out, a trial period expiring, or using the application for more than 30 days without an internet connection.
(-4 or -16) Product not Found, Wrong product installed
This error message means you are signing into a valid account that is in our system, but the ON1 app you are trying to activate is not attached to that email. This typically means you have not purchased the program, or are trying to sign into a version you don't own (MAX vs non-MAX), or you have purchased using a different email address than the one you are signing in under. Follow the link to your account page and download your software from the Subscriptions or Products tab.
(-7) Password incorrect
This error message indicates you are using a valid email address that is in our system, but you are not entering the password correctly.
To fix this error message, you will need to enter the correct email address and password for the product that you own. You will be able to reset your password by using the "Forgot My Password" function on the login page on the ON1 website.
(-8) MAX ACTIVATIONS EXCEEDED
You will be able to reset your activations from within your user account - www.on1.com/account - by selecting your application under the Product or Subscriptions tab, then selecting Reset Product Keys. Enter your password to confirm. This will reset your activations and allow you to sign in.
(-11) Account not found
This error indicates you are entering an email address that is not in our system. Please make sure you are signing in with the email address that your copy of ON1 Photo RAW is registered to - this is also the same account you use to log into our website.
(-13) Unknown return code 0, please contact support
This error indicates some kind of conflict or interruption in our application's communication to the activation website.
Please temporarily disable all antivirus, firewall, proxy server, and automatic backup/antivirus programs on this machine prior to installing and activating the program for the first time.
(-117) Please connect to the internet
This error will not block you from using the app. To solve this error. Please select OK in the popup.
Go to your help menu and manually sign in to your app with your email and password.
*If you have more than one ON1 app you will need to sign in to EVERY one manually by going to the help menu and sign in.
**If you have a standalone product, such as effects, You will need to open a file when you launch, go to help menu and sign in.
*** If you are using our app as a plug in please launch as a standalone and sign in.
