Below are instructions on how to manually uninstall ON1 apps and their hidden support folder locations for both Mac and PC.
(Note: Our current uninstallers are not working in the new macOS Big Sur. We are working on a fix.)
These steps can be used to remove older and current versions.
You'll want to use caution when removing the hidden app support folders as these contain cache folders for your cataloged folders, albums, presets etc.
Catalogs and Albums cannot be backed up or migrated to other machines.
Proceed with caution: Removing the hidden user application support folders will nuke all catalogs and caches.
* You can back up any user installed Presets and Extras. See this knowledge base article here
Delete the application and hidden support files from the following locations:
MacHD/Applications/ ON1 (Delete or move to the trash the version you want to remove)
The System level Library:
`MacHD/Library/Application Support: ON1
And the User level Library
* Note, the User Library is hidden by default. To reach it, open a new Finder window, then press and hold the Option key on your keyboard while you click the Go menu at the top of your screen. Select the Library option which appears. From there, you can continue into the Application Support/ON1
In Windows, you should be able to use normal uninstall an app from the Windows Control Panel to completely remove everything.
If for some reason the normal Uninstall in Windows does not uninstall the app, you can navigate to the ON1 application folder and run the Maintenancetool.exe
C:/Program Files/ON1/ ON1 PHOTO RAW 2021: Maintenancetool.exe
You can also manually remove and delete all ON1 apps and hidden support folders from the following locations:
C:/Program Files/ON1/ ON1 PHOTO RAW 2021
* Please note, App Data is a Hidden Folder on Windows. Please make sure you enable hidden files and folders on your machine so you are able to open this folder:
