What’s New in 2019.2 (13.2.0.6564)
ON1 Photo RAW 2019.2 includes improvements suggested by users as well as bug fixes. It is recommended for all users:
- NEW AI Quick Mask Tool — Powered by machine learning, the new AI Quick Mask tool can create high-quality masks with just a few strokes as guidance. To use it, just mark areas you want to keep in green and areas you want to drop in red. It then automatically finds the edges and creates the mask for you. Use it with layers to replace skies or with filters to selectively apply them quickly.
- Performance Improvements — Your video card (GPU) is now leveraged to speed-up common processes like returning to Browse, copy/pasting layers and masks, as well as some, exporting and plug-in usage.
- Added support for these cameras — Leica D-Lux 7 and Panasonic DMC-TZ101.
- Added or improved tethered shooting support for the Nikon Z 6, Z 7 and D850.
- Added lens correction profiles for these lenses: Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM, Chinon 75-205mm f/3.8, KMZ Industar-50-2 3.5/50, KMZ Jupiter-37AM MC 3.5/135, Nikon AI-S Nikkor 105mm f/2.5, Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 17mm f/1.2 Pro, Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 25mm f/1.2 Pro, Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.2 Pro, Pentax-FA 28-70mm f/4 AL, SLR Magic 8mm f/4, SIGMA 16mm F1.4 DC DN | C 017, SIGMA 30mm f/1.4 DC DN | C 016, Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD F012, Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2.
- Other bug fixes and performance improvements.
What’s New in 2019.1 (13.1.0.6264)
ON1 Photo RAW 2019.1 includes improvements suggested by users as well as bug fixes. It is recommended for all users:
- Improved Focus Stacking — The Focus Stacking algorithms have been improved. This makes the alignment of each photo more accurate and the blending of the photos produces less speckling in the bokeh regions and water. You can also output the results as layers with layer masks so you can tune the results manually. You can also zoom and pan the preview in the Focus Stacking dialog.
- Portrait Improvements — The accuracy of face finding has been improved. It now finds more small faces and less false faces. You can also delete faces.
- Masking Improvements — Inverting and copy/pasting masks are now more predictable.
- Saving layered .ONPhoto files is faster and the resulting file is a little smaller.
- Adobe® Lightroom® Plug-in Improvements — The Open as layers option now saves the results as a layered PSD or flattened TIF/JPG based on your preferences and round-trip with Lightroom. The migration assistant now migrates the pick flag from Lightroom to the Like hearts in ON1 Photo RAW.
- Import/Export Keyword List — You can now import and export the keyword list.
- Zoom & Pan the preview in the HDR Dialog.
- User suggested improvements — The Crop tool preset is now remembered across photos, you can reset the layer properties, cursors are more precise for plus/minus modes, and scroll position is maintained when culling with a filter is enabled.
- Added support for these cameras — Nikon Z 6, Nikon D3500, Sony XH99, Pentax K-1 II, Fujifilm GFX 50R, Leica C-Lux.
- Other bug fixes and performance improvements.
Whats' New in 2019 (13.0.0.6139)
- Combined Workflow — We've combined all of the modules to create a single place to do your editing. The different editing modules are now available as tabs to allow you to work in each seamlessly at once.
- Non-Destructive Layers – Want to combine multiple raw photos together and keep all the non-destructive settings for each photo, no problem. Layers are now at the heart of editing in Photo RAW 2019. You can combine multiple photos or copies of the same photo as layers. Each layer can be moved, sized and masked. But more than that, each layer is live, with its own non-destructive settings just like any photo in Photo RAW, all the way back to the original raw data. That means you can adjust powerful raw features like exposure, highlights, shadows, even camera profiles as part of a layered photo, all without having to change modules or applications.
- Align Layers – Combine multiple photos together as layers, then automatically align them based on image content. This is perfect for aligning a hand-held bracket of photos.
- Focus Stacking – Combine a series of photos taken at different focal lengths to create a hyper-focused stacked photo, where you control what is in focus.
- Text Tool – Now add text on top of your photos! Use it to create a poster, add your byline or add editing annotations. You can control font size, color position, etc. Even save a preset to add the same text overlay to a bunch of photos at once.
- Portrait Module – The new Portrait module automatically detects each face in your photo and can retouch and smooth skin as well as brighten and sharpen eyes and whiten teeth all at once, with no brushing required.
- Improved Local Adjustments – Local adjustments are even more powerful than before. You can bring back the highlights and shadow details with more tonal range.
- Updated User Interface – The user interface has a fresh, modern feel. We have reduced the contrast overall to make your photo stand out. A new font increases readability and new sliders take up less space.
- Master Keyword List – Now you can see every keyword you use in a single, searchable list. You can quickly apply or clear keywords, edit them or delete them.
- Import Lightroom Settings -– If you are tired of paying of Lightroom, we have the solution for you. Now you can seamlessly migrate your Lightroom catalogs to Photo RAW. Not only does it move your photos, albums, and metadata; but it also moves your edits and keeps them non-destructive so you can continue to edit them. In can migrate almost every edit you can make in Lightroom including basic raw processing, crop, retouching, local adjustments, etc. Now you don’t have to fear that years of work would be lost moving to Photo RAW.
- Updated Filters in Effects – We have added dedicated film grain, curves, color adjustment filters to Effects. This lets you add film grain to color photos and make advanced, targeted color and tone adjustments faster. We have also improved the Vignette filter for a more natural look. There’s even a new filter selector that allows you to search for filters, learn what they do and even view a sample before you add them.
- Other Goodies including support for HEIC files, keyboard shortcuts for changing modules, more accent color options, color labels on folders and more.
- Additional Camera Support — Added support for the Fujifilm XF10, Fujifilm X-T3, Nikon P1000, Nikon Z7, Panasonic LX100 II, Leica M10-P.
- Additional Lens Profiles – Added lens profiles for: Canon EF35mm f/1.4L II USM (750), Chinon Auto Chinon 35mm f/2.8, KMZ Helios-40 85mm f/1.5, Nikon 200-500mm F5.6 174, Panasonic LEICA DG 8-18/F2.8-4.0, Panasonic LEICA DG NOCTICRON 42.5/F1.2, Pentax Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4, Sigma Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM, Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS, Sony FE 50mm F1.8, Tamron 14-150mm F/3.5-5.8 DiIII C001, Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (A032), Voigtländer Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar III.
